What Went Down On Night 3 Of The DNC
Democrats are really leaning into the gun control message here. A sign of how much the politics of gun control have changed. Democrats used to try to appeal to gun owners, but we’re a long way from John Kerry trying to convince people he liked to hunt.

Gun violence is one of the themes of tonight. We’ve historically seen peaks in support for stricter gun laws around mass shootings that fade with time. While support for stricter gun laws is down from its post-Parkland peak, there is a clear general trend in favor of stricter laws. It now stands at 64 percent of Americans.
