What Went Down On The Final Night Of The DNC

I think Biden is giving a really strong speech here after a slow start.

The contrast between Democrats making a pitch to “all Americans” and Republicans making a pitch to their base has been put into stark relief during this convention. If Biden loses, the base of the Democratic Party will be making a lot of hay of that strategy. If Biden wins, and if he actually brings a bunch of new voters into the party, the Republicans Party could be in a very weak position. That’s the bet.

Biden appears to be leaning into that classic campaign mold where the top of the ticket takes the high road and lets the rest of the party handle the attacks.
