What Went Down On The Final Night Of The DNC

So far, Biden has embraced an approach that’s a bit like Obama circa 2004-08. He even made a “we’re not from red states or blue states” kind of reference. Very weird after Obama gave probably his darkest, most critical speech in public memory last night.

All of the presidents elected since 1976 have served less than a combined eight years in Congress. Biden served 36 years in the Senate. This convention is not shying away from his long experience. That was also true in 2016, when experience was among the most commonly cited thing voters liked about Hillary Clinton.

Lightness over darkness, hope over fear … lots of cliches here.
