OK, that was a heartfelt moment. But one thing that has really struck me during this convention is the extent to which Democrats have taken a little bit out of the Trump playbook. Almost every politician that’s spoken has taken at least one personal, Twitter-esque jab at Trump. Insults you wouldn’t have seen eight or 12 years ago, I don’t think.

The tone really has devolved, right?

That was a real proof point of what the Democrats have been arguing for four days — it is really hard to imagine that kid having that experience with Trump.
