Here’s Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Jon Meacham, who has never endorsed a presidential candidate before. He told Axios that he felt “this president poses such a clear and present danger to the things we should value most that I think it’s incumbent on all of us who believe that to say something.” But also, y’know, his new book — a biography of Rep. John Lewis — is due out next week, so I’m sure the added spotlight is welcome.
