What Went Down On The First Night Of The Democratic National Convention
I know a lot of us are watching different feeds, but I’m watching PBS and they’ve pulled away from the programming as regular voters are interviewed. That strikes me as … well, something. I understand it from one side of things — they don’t want to waste a lot of time on what might just be pablum. But it’s also a bit discordant? If the past few months have been about anything, they’ve been about the suffering of regular people and not all that much about any particular candidate. So why not air the regular people?
Rep. Gwen Moore has represented Wisconsin’s 4th District since 2005. It’s the bluest seat in Wisconsin, having been carried by Hillary Clinton by 52 points.
As someone who’s been dealing with virtual podcasts and people’s various internet connections for the past couple months, that opening interview segment made me NERVOUS. It went pretty smoothly, though, I thought.
