Today, the House gave Trump a pretty big win by overwhelmingly passing his North American trade deal, the USMCA. This is a potential trap for these candidates, many of whom probably support the deal but don’t want to be seen as agreeing with Trump on anything.

Poll Bot

According to a recent YouGov/Economist poll, 42 percent of Democrats don’t have an opinion on the United States – Mexico – Canada Agreement (USMCA). Another 36 percent have a “somewhat” or “very” favorable opinion, while 22 percent have a “somewhat” or “very” unfavorable opinion. Fifty-two percent of Democrats are “not sure” what the difference is between the USMCA and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

Interesting response from Yang — he says, essentially, stop focusing on impeachment because someone is still going to have to go up against Trump in 2020. Sounds a bit like other candidates who have said to focus not just on Trump but an entire political system that needs to be changed.
