What Went Down At The December Democratic Primary Debate

The answer to that question is that the Republican Party of today is not the Republican Party of 1974, so the idea that impeachment would be bipartisan is far-fetched. But I guess the candidates aren’t going to go into a political science lecture about how GOP voters may be following the signals of GOP elites, who are strongly opposed to impeachment.

The first question points out that unlike in 1974, a strong majority of Americans are not in favor of impeachment — and that’s true. But it’s also worth noting that impeaching Trump is more popular now than impeaching Bill Clinton was back in 1998.
