What Went Down At The Nevada Democratic Debate
He might be behind in total words spoken, but Biden leads in the number of times he’s mentioned Trump by name. On the other hand, Klobuchar, who has spoken the most so far, has mentioned the president least — just twice.
Who’s talking about Trump?
How often Trump’s name has been mentioned by candidates participating in the Nevada Democratic debate, as of 9:58 p.m. Wednesday
| Candidate | Trump Mentions | |
|---|---|---|
| Joe Biden | 6 | |
| Michael Bloomberg | 6 | |
| Elizabeth Warren | 5 | |
| Bernie Sanders | 4 | |
| Pete Buttigieg | 3 | |
| Amy Klobuchar | 2 |
Biden hasn’t been a central figure in this debate — congrats Bloomberg — but I would say he’s been pretty strong with every answer he’s given. He’s been sharp in making the case for his ability to beat Trump, his plan to build on Obamacare (and attacking Bloomberg for criticizing it), hitting Bloomberg on transparency, and most recently talking about his relationships in and knowledge of Latin America. I’d say he’s been about as good as he’s been in any debate this cycle, and maybe this is the much-needed top-shelf performance at a crucial moment for his campaign.
