Are we actually sure it’s defining elections, Clare? It doesn’t seem to have hurt Biden very much — although it may be a more salient issue now than it had been before.
What could you have purchased for the cost of the Iraq War? Among other things: you could run the EPA for 600 years at its current budget.
Also, it’s an obvious point, but man, it’s still kind of wild to me how much weight these Iraq War votes still carry. It’s been defining presidential elections for over a decade.
