Biden says his Iraq vote was a “mistaken vote” but that he would compare his “record overall” to anyone else on the stage.
So Biden is going back to the “mistake” language on voting for the Iraq War, saying three times that vote was a mistake. Smart move, I think — there’s no need to debate that for him.
With his answer on Iran, Sanders is also highlighting his broader foreign policy stance, which is deeply anti-interventionist: “I am able to bring people together to try to create a world where we solve conflicts over the negotiating table, not through military efforts.”
