Biden had an interesting twist on the “first major party nominee” theme that is often invoked this week to celebrate Clinton’s nomination, the first of a woman by a major party. Biden understands, and maybe even overdoes, the lost art of modulating his volume. Not sure how clear that comes thru on TV when they’re remixing the sound, but very clear and effective in the hall.

I argued in our politics chat earlier today that Biden would go hard after Trump. He seems to have gotten off a better anti-Trump message than any speaker so far.
