David, from what I can tell, single whips don’t have much control — it’s mostly delegates who get up and hold Clinton signs and chant and try to quiet the rabble rousers.

To those on the floor: Are there organized attempts to stop these chants? Do floor whips go over there and urge them to cut it out? Do nearby Clinton supporters argue with them?

I think Biden would probably have been knocked out early in the process. But it’s possible that he’d have split the establishment vote enough that we’d be at a contested convention right now.
