What Went Down On Day Three Of The Democratic Convention
It’s funny how things that seem good on paper don’t necessarily play in the hall. The hall isn’t in love with Panetta in the same way it was with that rendition of “What the World Needs Now Is Love.” Maybe the people at home will see it differently?
Although these are some of the most pointed remarks we’ve heard about Trump’s fitness for office so far, Panetta is nonetheless pretty reserved and mixing them with lots of praise for Clinton. Is someone going to embark on a no-holds-barred attack on Trump tonight? Or is there the risk that you come across as unhinged … when accusing Trump of being unhinged?
Leon Panetta, the former defense secretary under President Obama, was originally scheduled to go on closer to 8:30. Not sure if they’re running behind or reshuffled.
