Leon Panetta, the former defense secretary under President Obama, was originally scheduled to go on closer to 8:30. Not sure if they’re running behind or reshuffled.

Donald Trump just wrapped up an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit, a site famous for controversy and this digital interview series. Tonight’s DNC headliner, President Obama, did an open AMA in 2012 — taking questions from all comers (though not answering all, of course) while Trump’s were vetted to block protesters. The site had 15.7 million unique visitors last month. When asked about health care, the Republican nominee wrote: “One of the first things I will do is to repeal and replace disastrous Obamacare. I will put forward an amazing new plan, which will include many reforms, such as letting people buy insurance across state lines, increasing choice and competition, and bargaining for better, cheaper drug prices.” The price of health care plans that are part of Affordable Care Act exchanges is rising in many states, according to an analysis by the Kaiser Family Foundation. But earlier this month, the Center for Health and Economy released an analysis of the Trump health care proposal that said it would result in 18 million more uninsured people.

Getting rowdier here. Heard a few chants of “lock him up” — just a few — presumably in reference to Trump, as Admiral Hutson was speaking. Now a Bernie-related disturbance of some kind from the California delegation — couldn’t make out what they were saying.
