Sanders calls out the brutally high unemployment rate among young black men. In 2014, the unemployment rate among black men ages 18 to 24 was above 30 percent, more than double that of whites. And if anything, that understates the severity of the problem because the unemployment rate includes only people who are actively looking for work.
