With 27 percent of the expected vote in, Tranel is pulling ahead with 61 percent of the expected vote in Montana’s 1st District. The Democrats in the race have been expecting to face Zinke, who represented Montana’s at-large district before he served in the Trump administration, but this Republican race looks tighter than expected.
