Sarah, I think from just a tactical standpoint, sure! Vote in the election where your vote actually matters. This isn’t exactly the same thing, but I think it’s worth noting that in places where one party has a monopoly, there can be a wide variety of views amongst the people who run on that party’s line. Think about the New York City mayoral race or, more timely, the Los Angeles mayoral race. You might not even have to just vote for the lesser of two evils, you might find some of your views actually represented!
