Yeah, Kavanaugh is going through the many high-profile posts of his career, noting that he had never been accused of sexual assault before this. But let’s not kid ourselves: None of the jobs he has held (even working for Ken Starr) were nearly as high-stakes or high-profile as justice of the Supreme Court. Certainly, the average American hadn’t heard his name until this summer.

I don’t know what happened between he and Ford. At all. But I don’t know that getting lots of government jobs means that you didn’t commit one sexual assault. And I don’t think reporters are looking into the past of the staff secretary of the White House, pre-Trump (Rob Porter was Staff Secretary.)

Kavanaugh just mentioned Bill Clinton’s impeachment and his work as an attorney on the Starr report. Now moving on to his work for George W. Bush. This seems …unwise to highlight? Just makes him seem more partisan.
