What Happened In The Brett Kavanaugh Hearing

One person noticeably silent in today’s Senate hearing? President Trump. Politico reported that Trump watched the hearing aboard Air Force One on his flight back to the White House. A White House official texted Politico’s Annie Karni to say, “Facts vs. Emotion. Let’s wait and see.”

Megan Kelly is on NBC News speculating that Democrats will try and pick apart Kavanaugh’s “choir boy” image with their questioning by bringing up “knuckle-headed” comments in his yearbook, for example.

Listening to C-SPAN again and it’s really interesting to hear people question Ford based on what they think they would have felt or done in that situation. One man wondered, “who puts a wet swimsuit on under clothes”? And a woman felt like she, herself, would have remembered the hand on her face the most, not the men laughing.
