I guess I’m inclined to assume Republicans have some sort of strategy here. Just because this is a hugely-important event. But I’m not sure I see it right now. If Mitchell is supposed to be raising doubts about Ford, she has not really done so at this point. Maybe this is all on Kavanaugh doing the rebuttal.

Even if there was some kind of coordination between Kavanaugh’s side and Senate Republicans, Perry, I think this format makes it really hard to follow Mitchell’s line of argument. This half-trial-half-hearing approach is feeling increasingly incoherent.
