Kansas Upheld Abortion Rights And Other Key Updates From The Aug. 2 Elections
Filed under 2022 Election
Well, we just got a bunch of votes from Johnson County, Kansas, and things are continuing to look bad for the abortion amendment’s supporters. With 41 percent of the expected vote reporting, the “no” side is leading with 66 percent of the vote, with 34 percent of voters on the “yes” side. In Johnson County, which is quite populous, 72 percent of voters are on the “no” side — which is pretty stunning considering that Biden won 52 percent of the county’s voters in 2020. Of course, not all the votes are in yet, but still — things aren’t looking good for the amendment.
