To add some data to Geoff’s point, in the latest Senate survey from Alaska Survey Research (which, admittedly, seems to have slightly undershot Murkowski’s total support), Tshibaka was leading 81-17 percent among Republicans! That said, Murkowski has lost a GOP primary before, only to come back and M-U-R-K-O-W-S-K-I her way to victory anyway.
