It’s hard to imagine Cheney winning again in Wyoming in the near future. It’s equally hard to imagine her retiring from political life. I can see her making a passable but ultimately unsuccessful presidential bid in 2024, even if Trump runs. But who knows. Maybe she will return to private life and enjoy her log cabin, which I’ve been envying throughout the Jan. 6 committee hearing videos.
