I will say, political dynasties are particularly loathed from a certain segment of Trump’s base. This is maybe obvious; his self-casting as a “political outsider” was a large part of his appeal from the beginning. But for many on the alt-right, there’s a narrative that politicians who grew up entrenched in this world are the old guard, and conspiracists and populists are the future. I just read a post on a QAnon Telegram group that read: “In the past two weeks we’ve seen the McCain cartel neutered by Kari Lake, and the Cheney cartel wrecked by Hageman. Two long time, deeply entrenched, RINO Republican Deep State families just got yeeted into orbit in the span of 14 days. But please tell me moar about how we are losing, or about how we shouldn’t vote.”
