As Jacob noted, ABC News is projecting that Mike Collins will win the Republican nomination for Georgia’s 10th District. In other words, Vernon Jones, Trump’s endorsee, is projected to lose. It marks a defeat for Trump in a proxy battle between the former president and Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, who endorsed Collins. (Last month, Gov. Kemp beat his opponent — and Trump’s choice — former Sen. David Perdue in Georgia’s primary race for the GOP gubernatorial nomination.)
