In the Republican runoff for Georgia’s 6th District, Rich McCormick is currently leading Jake Evans, 72 percent to 28 percent. If that holds up, Evans will have done only 5 percentage points better than he did in the initial primary — ouch. This is the second race so far where Trump’s endorsed candidate in Georgia is getting crushed — this on the heels of his endorsed candidate for governor, David Perdue, losing 74 percent to 22 percent on May 24. Georgia Republicans seem to be sending an unambiguous message to Trump: We’ll make up our own minds, thank you.
