With about 15 percent of the vote counted in Georgia’s 10th District, Collins continues to lead Jones by a wide margin, 79-21 percent. Our friend Dave Wasserman of the Cook Political Report with Amy Walter is already calling it a night for Jones. Collins always had a much stronger theory of the case: He’s from the district, his dad represented the area in Congress and he nearly won this seat himself a few cycles back. Jones, on the other hand, is a former Democrat who doesn’t have any connection to the district. He did have an endorsement from Trump, but Georgia voters seem intent on showing that’s not a silver bullet in the Peach State anymore.
