The policy discussion has been in-depth as usual tonight, though the guns and immigration discussions had fewer numbers than the health care debate. But it still assumes a lot of voter knowledge. Even the process discussion is wonky — discussing the filibuster, budget reconciliation, parliamentarian reform and executive order constitutionality.

Poll Bot

Several candidates have said something in Spanish during this debate. As Poll Bot mentioned in the first debate, a YouGov poll conducted between June 21 and 24 found that 42 percent of adults think that a presidential candidate speaking Spanish during a televised presidential debate is pandering, while 31 percent think it’s respectful. Twenty-seven percent were not sure.

I said before that nobody had gotten an A grade so far, but Beto has probably crept into the A-minus range, not so much because of that last answer but because of the answer on guns.
