Lee, I wouldn’t assume that. People said it about Harris and Biden after the first debate too. But time (and ambition) heals all wounds. If Reagan could pick Bush to be his VP after their nasty primary, any ticket combo is still on the table.

I am not sure how this will work for Castro. I do think there’s some appetite for party unity that’s connected to the electability concerns (not necessarily because they’re connected in reality, but I think there’s that perception.) OTOH, I feel like Biden’s soundbite about standing with Obama is going to come back to haunt him in some way.
