What Went Down In The Third Democratic Debate

The debate moderators have in many of the debates so far pressed the more left candidates with arguments from the middle. Jorge Ramos is taking a very clear left position on immigration here, which is an interesting dynamic to see.

Castro, it’s worth noting, is the only Dem candidate whose climate change plan includes plans for some way to assist and support environmental migrants, including people fleeing climate-change-associated drought in Central America.

When we’re talking about immigration, it’s critical to note that Americans’ immigration attitudes depend on the specifics. Americans support both a secure southern border (though not a wall to accomplish that) as well as a pathway to citizenship.
