As your Booker/Buttigieg correspondent tonight, I think they’ve been fine, but I’m not thrilled with how things are going. The Top 3 are getting a lot of attention from the moderators, and among the rest of the field, they aren’t the candidates with the most memorable moments.

Beto O’Rourke brought up reparations for slavery. As poll bot mentioned in the last debate, 46 percent of Democrats think providing reparations for slavery is a good idea, while 40 percent think it’s a bad idea, according to an NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll from mid-July.

Nathaniel mentioned that some of O’Rourke’s best moments have been on race. It’s actually worth noting that O’Rourke does better with Latino voters in Texas than Castro.
