What Went Down In The Third Democratic Debate

It’s a little hard to tell because Harris’s position on health care is sort of wishy-washy, making it harder for her to go on the attack on that issue. But so far, she’s saved her combativeness for Trump rather than for the other Democrats. Even though her bounce from the first debate eventually faded, I thought her going after Biden was a successful strategy in the first debate (I know a lot of people disagree), and I’m surprised she hasn’t really tried it again in either the second or the third debate (so far).

I doubt Sanders’s scratchy throat will affect his support tonight. However, I’m reminded of Pete Wilson’s presidential run in the 1996 cycle, when he got a late start after complications from throat surgery, sounded terrible on the stump, and withdrew long before the primaries.
