Here’s where the votes currently stand for the outstanding House races in California:
- With 44 percent of the expected vote reporting, Republican Kevin Kiley currently leads with 53 percent against Democrat Kermit Jones in the state’s open 3rd District race.
- In the 6th District, incumbent Democrat Ami Bera leads with 56 percent against Republican Tamika Hamilton, with 26 percent of the expected vote reporting.
- There’s a similar lead panning out so far in the 9th District: Incumbent Democrat Josh Harder holds 56 percent of the vote, leading Republican Tom Patti, with 36 percent reporting.
- In the state’s key 13th District, it’s still anybody’s race: Democrat Adam Gray and Republican John Duarte are neck and neck, with about 50 percent each, at 40 percent of the expected vote reporting.
- Two Democrats are battling it out in the 15th District, where Kevin Mullin, who has 56 percent, is currently in the lead over David Canepa, with 37 percent reporting.
- Out in the 21st District, Republican Michael Maher is trailing incumbent Democrat Jim Costa, who has 53 percent of the vote, at 41 percent reporting.
- In the 22nd District, incumbent Republican David Valadao is in the lead against Democratic Rudy Salas. Valadao currently has 54 percent of the vote, at 30 percent reporting.
- Incumbent Republican Jay Obernolte leads with 60 percent against Democrat Derek Marshall in the 23rd District, with 38 percent reporting.
- The list of leading incumbents continues with Democrat Raul Ruiz in the 25th District. He leads with 61 percent of the vote, at 33 percent reporting, against Republican Brian Hawkins.
- In 26th District, Republican Matt Jacobs trails incumbent Democrat Julia Brownley, who currently has 54 percent of the vote, with 48 percent reporting.
- Incumbent Republican Mike Garcia holds 58 percent of the vote, with 44 percent reporting, and is currently ahead of Democrat Christy Smith in the 27th District.
- In the 34th District, incumbent Democrat Gomez leads with 53 percent of the vote, with 35 percent reporting. As a note, his opponent David Kim is also a Democrat.
- The 37th District is another case of Democrats facing off against one another: At present, Sydney Kamlager has 61 percent of the vote, leading opponent Jan Perry, with 33 percent reporting.
- Over in the 40th District, Democrat Asif Mahmood is trailing behind incumbent Republican Young Kim, who leads with 59 percent, at 54 percent reporting.
- Incumbent Republican Ken Calvert is currently behind his opponent, Democrat Will Rollins, in the 41st District: Rollins leads with 56 percent of the vote, at 28 percent reporting.
- In the highly contentious race between two Asian-American candidates in the 45th District, incumbent Republican Michelle Steel holds 55 percent of the vote, with 50 percent reporting, over Democrat Jay Chen.
- Meanwhile, things are a little closer in the 47th District: Incumbent Democrat Katie Porter and her opponent, Republican Scott Baugh, are neck and neck, with about 50 percent each, at 58 percent reporting.
- Finally, in the Golden State’s 49th District, incumbent Democrat Mike Levin, with 51 percent of the vote, at 57 percent reporting, is leading over Republican Brian Maryott.
