With 57 percent of the expected vote in, Arkansas’s marijuana recreational legalization ballot measure is losing 57 percent to 43 percent. This is a bit of a surprise given the polling, but the “No” campaign had been eroding support recently. Gov. Asa Hutchinson and the state chamber of commerce had urged voters to oppose it. Marijuana legalization is popular nationwide, and medical marijuana was legalized in the state in 2019.
