Big projection there in Georgia for Brian Kemp, though his victory was not unexpected. After crushing a Trump-backed opponent in the primary, he was in great shape in the general election since the primary had made him seem like a more moderate option. And for Stacey Abrams, all the promise she exhibited as a Democratic rising star in 2018 came for naught, as she is likely to do worse in this race than four years ago. I remember when she was reportedly debating between running for Senate in 2020 and governor in 2022 — considering Warnock’s win in 2020/2021, it looks like Abrams made the wrong choice.
