(D) Key Race Projected
ABC News has projected that Democratic Rep. Abigail Spanberger will win reelection in Virginia’s 7th District. She leads Republican Yesli Vega 52 percent to 48 percent with about all the expected vote reporting. Spanberger’s seat changed quite a bit in redistricting, as her home base in the Richmond suburbs ended up elsewhere. But she decided to proceed with a reelection bid in the new, light-blue 7th District even though it only contained about 25 percent of her old seat’s constituents. That move worked out for her.
