It sure looks like poor candidate quality hurt Republicans, yeah. Look at how much worse Walker is doing in Georgia than Kemp — a tie vs. an 8-point lead. Or Mastriano vs. Oz in Pennsylvania; Mastriano is losing the governor’s race by 16 points, and Oz is losing by only 6. Clearly, there were some voters in those states who were open to voting Republican, but didn’t vote for the flawed Republicans.
