In Iowa’s Senate race, 35 percent of the vote is in, and it looks like Sen. Chuck Grassley is trailing his Democratic challenger, Mike Franken, 48 to 52. But don’t be fooled, our forecast says Grassley is a clear favorite to win. Vote counting is a slow process, and we’re likely to see several shifts in races that seem close but will ultimately be decisive as the counts trickle in, so beware of making too much of early returns. We do expect results from Iowa tonight, though.
