Fifty-six percent of the expected vote is in in Colorado’s newly formed 8th District, where Democrat Yadira Caraveo currently leads Republican Barbara Kirkmeyer, 49 percent to 47 percent. Our forecast has Kirkmeyer clearly favored in this race, so Caraveo’s current lead could be due to the fact that vote-by-mail — which is how Colorado runs its elections — tends to favor Democrats.
