How Election Week 2022 Went Down

It looks like Republicans are on track to pick up Wisconsin’s 3rd District, though. Republican Derrick Van Orden has 53 percent to Democrat Brad Pfaff’s 47 percent. Unlike most of the competitive House districts this year, this is a rural district, so this is consistent with the urban-rural realignment; this ancestrally Democratic area has drifted toward Republicans recently.

With 86 percent of the expected vote in, Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly is currently leading Republican Derek Schmidt in the Kansas gubernatorial race, 50 percent to 47 percent.

ABC News is reporting that the Nevada secretary of state’s spokesperson, Jennifer Russell, says that polls are still open in two counties. “Once they close and we get the files from all of the counties, we will post results that will include in-person early voting, in-person election day and some mail,” she said, noting that Lyon County, near Reno, was still open. “We do not expect all of the results for several days.”
