One of the governorships that Republicans might have been able to flip with a good night was in Maine — but it didn’t happen. ABC News is projecting that Democratic Gov. Janet Mills has won reelection, 56 percent to 42 percent, over former Republican Gov. Paul LePage.

Remember early in the night, when we were young, and the Georgia Senate race was the talk of the town? Whatever happened to that guy, anyway? Well: Walker currently has 49.2 percent of the vote, and Warnock has 48.8 percent. Libertarian Chase Oliver has 2.0 percent, preventing either from getting to a majority right now.

But if Mary Peltola wins 50 percent in Alaska right off the bat, which polling suggests she might, we won’t have to wait for the ranked-choice tabulation (at least in that race — the Senate race will likely need it).
