How Election Week 2022 Went Down

Democrats and Republicans are still at 46 seats each in the Senate, with some races still too close to call.

ABC News projects wins for three Democratic candidates in Illinois: Reps. Sean Casten in the 6th District and Lauren Underwood in the 14th, plus Nikki Budzinski in the 13th. All three had odds north of 67 percent to win.

Balance of power in the House is now at 184 seats for Democrats and 207 for Republicans, inching along slowly towards the majority line. There are 44 seats left to call.
