How Election Week 2022 Went Down

Votes are starting to trickle in for Illinois, where I’m keeping an eye on a number of House races. The Democratic-controlled legislature drew an aggressive gerrymander during the most recent redistricting cycle, so it’ll be interesting to see how it plays out for Democrats.

Charlie Crist, the Democratic candidate for Florida governor, has said he’s “at peace” with the race’s results and has congratulated Gov. DeSantis, in a concession speech streamed to socials: “To you and your family, I wish you only the best. And I wish the best to my fellow Floridians.”

If he wins, Oz would become the country’s first Muslim senator. Like in many other ways, Pennsylvania mirrors the nation with a population that is around 1 percent Muslim.
