ABC News projects that Republican Katie Britt has won the Alabama Senate race. No surprise there — she was heavily favored going in — but worth noting because she just became the first female senator elected from Alabama.

Republicans have dominated at the top of the ticket in Florida, as DeSantis leads by 16 points and Rubio leads by 13 points, with 73 percent of the expected vote reporting. This could have down-ballot ramifications in House races there, too, where a handful of Democratic-leaning seats might be in play as we get more Election Day votes, which tend to be more Republican-leaning. This could be especially relevant in the South Florida-based 23rd District, where Democrat Jared Moskowitz leads Republican Joe Budd by 11 points, 55 percent to 44 percent, with 63 percent of the expected vote reporting. However, if that remaining vote is pretty friendly to the GOP, this could be a real nail-biter.
