Happy Monday! Over the holiday weekend, we got some notable updates in three of the four races we’re still tracking. (There was no significant news in California’s 25th District).
- The Associated Press called California’s 21st District for Republican David Valadao. However, our colleagues at ABC News have yet to make a projection.
- Every county in Iowa’s 2nd District completed its recount, and the result was that Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks has just a 6-vote lead (!). That number is expected to become official today, when the state certifies its results, but a legal battle could follow.
- Not to be outdone, the counties in New York’s 22nd District submitted revised vote totals to a judge, and Republican Claudia Tenney now leads that race by just 12 or 13 votes.
