All The Outstanding Races Called In The 3+ Weeks Since The Presidential Election
As part of the state’s hand recount, Georgia’s Floyd County has apparently found more than 2,600 ballots that weren’t counted the first time around. Since Floyd County is pretty red turf, that’s expected to benefit Trump — perhaps netting him 800 votes or so, according to the chair of the county GOP. However, Biden’s lead in Georgia is more than 14,000 votes, so that won’t be nearly enough for Trump to close the gap.
In Utah’s 4th Congressional District, Democratic Rep. Ben McAdams just conceded to Republican challenger Burgess Owens. Although ABC News has not yet projected a winner there, this signals another Republican flip in a competitive House seat.
Biden is the projected winner in Georgia, but since I know many of you are curious how the current hand recount might change things: According to The New York Times, the recount is around two-thirds complete and has so far not significantly changed the results.
