Biden Is Projected To Be The President-Elect. Here’s How It All Went Down.
I’m live-blogging from my apartment in Harlem, and there’s cheering and car-honking galore at the moment. It turns out people were still paying attention to who won the presidency even after the looooong count.
Here’s the projection from ABC News: “ABC News can characterize Joe Biden as the apparent winner in Pennsylvania — a win that makes him president-elect. Based on these numbers and those in other states, Joe Biden will be the next president of the United States.”
Allegheny and Armstrong counties in Pennsylvania also updated their numbers, and that has put Biden above the 0.5-point mandatory recount margin statewide, 49.61 percent to 49.10 percent.
