Biden Is Projected To Be The President-Elect. Here’s How It All Went Down.
Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, just reported about 7,000 votes, and like all the others, they were quite good for Biden (voting for him 68 percent to 30 percent). Biden’s lead in Pennsylvania is now up to 12,390 votes.
Sounds like it’ll be hours before we hear more from Nevada, where Biden has a 20,542-vote lead and there are roughly 150,000 ballots left to count.
Well, after a flurry of results this morning from Georgia and Pennsylvania, and then Arizona and Nevada, we’ve hit a bit of a lull, reader. As a reminder, decision desks like the one at ABC News take time to make their projections. And in an election as contentious as this one, most outlets that call elections are erring on the side of being extra cautious.
We do know at this time that Biden plans to address the evening later today, in prime time according to his campaign, so it could be a while before we have a projected winner. Or … maybe not. We’re actively monitoring this situation though, and will do our best to keep you informed.
