Absolutely, Amelia. It is important to take stock of all the things that went well yesterday, and applaud the absolutely heroic efforts of election administrators. But here are my two unknowns going forward. First, if we get into recount and/or litigation territory, what kinds of things will turn up in that process? And second, what kinds of protests or reaction will emerge if partisan leaders, especially Trump, contest the results and howl fraud? That’s something we just don’t know at this point.
